Thanks to everyone who emailed me about my son’s accident in which he snapped his femur – really appreciated your support. He’s getting on well now, walking (well, limping) without crutches and is allowed to drive again which has cheered him up a lot.

The home page of Grammarly which is an excellent tool to help you make sure you’re not making too many mistakes in grammar, spelling and punctuation. But like most intelligent robotic systems this one isn’t so good at figuring out whether a homophone you use is the right one, so watch out.

If you like toy-toys, this is quite an interesting one, and it’s brand new – in beta as we speak. It picks up on discrepancies in your writing that it feels could be improved upon. I’m not sure I would agree with everything it suggests, but it’s certainly worth checking out if you’re unsure of how your writing is coming across.

How to blog with as little as possible
Written by one of my favorite content writing specialists, Julie Neidliner. CoSchedule’s blurb says … “you already know how to blog. But, to actually start and keep going, you may need to blog with next to nothing. And when you get down to it, there are just a few things you can do with your blog to save a ton of time and create awesome content. Read this post to learn 5 ways you can blog successfully with as little as possible.” Hmmm. What do you think?

How To Write A Blog Post: Your 5-Point Checklist To Rock A Perfect Post
If this were not written by Julie Neidlinger, I wouldn’t recommend it, if only because there are hundreds if not thousands of blogging “gurus” out there writing articles on the same topic. But knowing how Neidlinger manages to grasp exactly what we need to know and share it with us clearly, I’m not hesitating to put this forward. Some really useful advice.

Are we seeing an eNewsletter renaissance?
This article by Kevin Miller on Clickz.com may seem a little retro, but I doubt it. In all the hustle and bustle of social media, the more you think about it the more important it becomes to keep a strong focus on your “owned content” of which eNewsletters form a part.

People vary in their views on this topic but as far as I can see, the sooner your website is mobile friendly the better it will be for your business. Considering that over 70 percent of my traffic on HTWB comes from mobile, I’m pretty glad the site looks OK on my itty-bitty Blackberry. What do you think?

Email marketing that slaps you in the face – decisive or desperate?
Some examples of recent email marketing messages that have been rather rude and aggressive. Do you think this sort of approach works? Certainly didn’t for me, but it did give me the inspiration for a blog post, so I suppose I owe the perpetrators something.
