How To Write Better wins Highly Commended in UK Blog Awards 2015

How To Write Better has won a Highly Commended award in the individual section of the PR, Media, Marketing and Comms section in this prestigious UK Blog Awards 2015.

HTWB Blog Awards logoI really can’t thank you all enough for voting for the site late last year – it seems the judges agreed with you!

The top award in our section/category went to the very deserving Matthew Barby whose digital marketing site is excellent. And to think that How To Write Better received recognition is amazing … considering that it’s such a hard site to classify. It’s probably the largest multi-genre writing site in the world; but in this age of nichey-nichey, such pluralism is tricky sometimes.

It has been nearly four years since How To Write Better was set up and during that time, in addition to my own work, we’ve seen wonderful contributions from regular columnists Lynn Tulip, Lucy McCarracher and Jackson Rawlings, and guest posters likeĀ Lorenzo Matibag, Alana Munro, Simon Ellinas, Mindy Gibbins-Klein, Nadine Amore, Babs Saul, Caroline McCormack, Sam Worthington and several others.

More than 1,000 articles on How To Write Better

Together we’ve built up a library of nearly 1,000 articles about most genres of writing that not only cover all aspects of business, blogging and other content writing, but also writing for job search, fiction, poetry, weddings, music lyrics, and most other occasions when what you write really matters.

HTWB Blog Awards logoDeliberately I have never taken advertising or sponsored posts, although these days with a healthy amount of traffic I get some pressure to do so! How To Write Better will soon celebrate its 2 million page views which for a specialist site is quite encouraging.

How To Write Better is gaining popularity – thank you again

It also received a brilliant accolade in 2014 when it was included in Guy Kawasaki’s AllTop.com as one of their top recommended social media sites worldwide, and just a week ago it was voted as one of the top 105 blogsites in the world for helping writers suceed, on e-BooksIndia.

Once again, many, many thanks to you all for your generous support. And a big hat tip to the incredible Babs Saul otherwise known as The Blogmistress, who has managed and cared for this site since it started and deserves another award for her sheer patience and endurance of my ignorance and picky pedantry…

And now it’s onwards and upwards to keep How To Write Better among those top writing sites in the world!
